2nd EEA and Norway Grants 2014–2021 Annual Meeting
Ljubljana, 15 October 2020 – Donor States’ representatives, representatives from the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy which acts as the National Focal Point and Programme Operator as well as other stakeholders held the 2nd EEA and Norway Grants Annual Meeting to discuss the progress made in the implementation of the EEA and Norway Grants in Slovenia in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
This year’s annual meeting was held via videoconference due to COVID-19. The participants approved the Combined Strategic and Annual Report for 2019. The report will be published on the dedicated website. The Donor States’ representatives and other stakeholders were updated on the progress made in the implementation of the Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Programme, the Education- Enhancing Human Capital Programme and the Active Citizens Fund in 2020. The participants discussed, inter alia, the reallocation of the reserve, i.e. the unallocated amount still available to Slovenia under the EEA and Norway Grants, and touched on other open issues.
Donor States’ representatives welcomed the progress made by Slovenian authorities in implementing the EEA and Norway Grants. The participants agreed that the COVID-19 pandemic presented an unprecedented challenge for the implementation of the EEA and Norway Grants, calling for closer collaboration between all stakeholders and flexibility as they work together to find common solutions.
