Qualified teachers/mentors: teachers/mentors improve their entrepreneurship competences by participating in the PoMP Academy and through implementation of pilot startup activities for young people; better access to new support environment services for young people; improved support environment for young people in small towns and rural areas by connecting support organizations of the partnership with interested organizations outside the partnership (business incubators, educational institutions, chambers of commerce, municipalities etc.) and interested individuals, such as entrepreneurs, consultants, teachers, mentors etc. into a comprehensive and permanent support environment, i.e. into a support environment network that has access to the newly established service – the PoMP Academy.

Project summary:

The project aims to contribute to tackling two challenges: to improve entrepreneurship competences of teachers/mentors and, in turn, improve entrepreneurship competences of young people with the aim of increasing their employment potential. The main target group are young people from less dynamic environments (primary and secondary school students), their teachers/mentors, support institutions and educational institutions and interested individuals (entrepreneurs, consultants, teachers etc.) who join the permanent network of support environment with the aim of providing permanent support to young people. Project partners with many years of experience in promoting entrepreneurship among young people have realized over the years how important it is to promote entrepreneurship competences among young people already in early childhood education (primary and secondary school) and how important the role of the teachers/mentors who teach young people is in this respect. The main goal of the project is to establish a comprehensive and permanent support environment that encourages young people, especially those from less dynamic environments, to search for entrepreneurial ideas and create business models, and provides the necessary entrepreneurial knowledge and supports development of entrepreneurship competences by connecting existing support institutions and existing programmes with the newly established service, i.e. the PoMP Academy. The project helps step up support for young people and increases their employment (or self-employment) potentials in areas where support environment is underdeveloped.
