27 August 2025 – Today, a presentation event entitled Cooperation that Creates Change – Achievements of the Grants 2014–2021 was held, highlighting the key achievements of the grants in the concluding programming period.
The event featured a rich discussion at two round tables, where representatives of the relevant institutions and project implementers presented the results of the Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation programme, Education, Scholarships, Apprenticeship and Youth Entrepreneurship programme and the Active Citizens Fund.

The programme was opened by the State Secretary responsible for cohesion, Marko Koprivc, who emphasised in his speech that “in Slovenia, with the help of these funds, we have shown that we know how to turn opportunities into success stories. It is not just about European solidarity, but about concrete projects that improve people’s lives and provide long-term solutions.”
This was followed by round tables with participants from state and public institutions, non-governmental organisations, and the Financial Mechanism Office in Brussels.

The first round table was attended by State Secretary Marko Koprivc, Head of the Financial Mechanisms Sector at the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development, Jadranka Plut, Director of the Centre for Information Service, Co-operation and Development of NGOs CNVOS, Goran Forbici, and Gudrun Dogg Gudmundsdottir from the Financial Mechanism Office in Brussels. The discussion focused on the programme aspects of the EEA and Norway Grants.

The second round table offered an in-depth review of projects and challenges involved in their implementation. Representatives of the INFO-GEOTHERMAL, studioKroG, SmartMOVE, PreseNEETi SE, Barnahus, and BlendVET projects participated, highlighting the importance of cooperation with partners from donor countries and the long-term impact of the projects implemented.
The event confirmed that the grants have made an important contribution to Slovenia’s development in various areas, from environment and education to civil society. The successes of the projects presented are an encouraging starting point for the future, in which cooperation will continue to be key to bringing about positive change.
