About EEA and Norway Grants in Slovenia

A total of EUR 37.7 million is made available to Slovenia in the period 2014−2021, of which EUR 19.9 million comes from the EEA Grants and EUR 17.8 million from the Norway Grants. Slovenia will use the funding for the following programme areas: Education and Training, Scholarships, Apprenticeships and Youth Entrepreneurship; Work-life Balance; Good Governance, Accountable Institutions, Transparency; Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation; Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Energy Security; Civil Society and Social Dialogue and Decent Work.

Five programmes and funds will be implemented in Slovenia:

  • Technical Assistance, Operator: Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy (GODC);
  • Programme Enhancing Human Capital, Programme Operator: Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy (GODC), with the Scheme for Mobility and Small Partnerships, Operator: Centre of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programmes (CMEPIUS);
  • Programme Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, Programme Operator: Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy (GODC);
  • Fund for Bilateral Relations, Operator: Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy (GODC);
  • Active Citizens Fund, donor states are responsible for the implementation.

Global Fund for Decent Work and Tripartite Dialogue (Programme Social Dialogue – Decent Work) is implemented by Innovation Norway on behalf of donor states.
